Georgian Court University’s Business Programs Reaffirmed for Accreditation by ACBSP (2024)

The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) Baccalaureate/Graduate Degree Board of Commissioners has reaffirmed accreditation of the business programs at Georgian Court University in Lakewood, New Jersey.

ACBSP is a leading accreditation body for business education programs and the only organization offering specialized business accreditation for all degree levels. The business programs at Georgian Court University were first accredited by ACBSP in 1994. The institution is required to go through the reaffirmation process every 10 years to maintain ACBSP accreditation.

Accreditation by ACBSP certifies that a university’s business programs’ teaching and learning processes meet its rigorous educational standards. Further, accreditation by ACBSP increases students’ marketability, gives them a competitive advantage in the hiring process, and ensures the maintenance of high standards throughout their education.

The school’s programs are in two departments: the Department of Business Administration and the Department of Communication & Graphic Design, both of which recognize the impact of digital technology on new product development, promotion, marketing, and e-commerce.

The Department of Business Administration offers Bachelor of Science degrees in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, and Sport Management and a Master of Business Administration (MBA). Also available is the joint-degree Bachelor of Science in Health Information Management program with Rutgers University. The department also offers minors in Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Management, Marketing, Social Media Marketing, and Sport Management, and students can earn a GCU Certificate in International Business.

The Department of Communication, Graphic Design & Multimedia offers Bachelor’s degrees in Communication, Digital Design, and Graphic Design and a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communication.
