Did you realize you pathed right by the "destroyer" notable in duelist but didn't take it? That one node alone shows as +8.3% DPS in PoB.

If you're going to run impale in your links, you should also pick up impale nodes in your tree.

The 2 points for unwavering stance. Obviously I took them, so I'm not going to say they're a bad choice, but I should elucidate the reason I took them. I'm a combat looting sort of a person. I don't like to backtrack at all, so when something good drops, I stop spinning (often with stuff still shooting me) and pick it up. Cyclone makes you immune to stun while you're channeling it, but as soon as you stop channeling you can get stunlocked by nonsense, so I spent the two points to be immune. If your playstyle is kill everything, then loot, you probably don't need it.

I'm shooting for a maim, life, life% chest, but I've yet to see a maim roll in close to 15 tries. I've had some really nice chests in there that I considered selling off, but kept chugging along cause I'm lazy.

Yeah you already have a better chest than I do on my cyclone guy. Since I've been focusing on other characters my cyclone guy is actually pretty low gear level (but it was enough to do deathless uber elder several times).

I'm good on health I think, but my dps is lacking. I think i'm around 500k shaper dps fully flasked, and it feels SO slow at times - especially on Legion bosses. I can pull a lot of dps out of my jewelry, but I'm relying on them for so many resists. I think my problem is there, but I'm not sure. I've tried putting some of your gear on my character in builder, and that and the helmet were the 2 main differences from your 1.4m build.

Your belt and gloves are pretty lackluster on resists, as are your boots. Picking up resists there would allow you to be more flexible in jewelry. Top priority for your jewelry is getting your accuracy up. At least one of them should have a 400+ accuracy roll.

I helped alira, and you apparently killed all bandits, which made my resist targets a bit easier. You could respec to alira if you wanted, though I'm honestly not sure that's better. Before I switched away from that character I was planning to get my resists fixed enough to get the 2 points. I think alira is a low gear level choice, given all the amazing damage nodes now available there's better things to do with 2 points if you can swing the resists.

I'd also seriously consider getting the int for infused channeling (from jewelry). Infused channeling offers both great offense and great defense. It is one of our most powerful support options, and IMHO worth the sacrifice of picking up int. 8% less physical damage from hits is no joke. I do see a lot of other successful people not doing infused channeling, presumably for the same reason as you, but I find it extremely strong.

As I mentioned before I've found impale to be kind of bad against legion. There's no doubt that it offers great boss damage if you lean into it (impale nodes in tree for 100% impale chance total), but I was noticeably slower breaking legions out of their shells when I was doing the impale spec, vs pure upfront damage spec. Up to you how you want to prioritize that. If you stay with impale you definitely want to take the nodes to get you to 100% chance (and another 30% impale effect).

I can get about 3k each out of upping some gems to 20q, but didn't think they were worth it at the time, and I don't have the INT for channel infusion, so I used the next best dps that builder showed.

If you can't afford the GCPs, you can always vendor them over to 20% and re-level them. You'll probably be ~93-94 when they get back to 20 again.
